Hilarious and offensive

It is possible to be shockingly, blindingly funny without being offensive or saying things that stand a good chance of hurting feelings.

It also is way harder to do than being shockingly, blindingly funny while using every offensive technique, word and subject available.

If you are willing to settle for offensive and you want funny, read all of these comics (IDK).  It is sort of like Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal meets XKCD.  Regularly pound on the desk, howl out loud funny, also likely to offend nearly everyone.  You were warned.

(Start at the end and go backwards!)

  1. Maybe I went to the wrong archive but what I found was neither funny nor offensive. Unless you find boring offensive...

  2. There is a wide spectrum of people in the world and a wide spectrum of people reading my blog and you definitely fit very close to the 'impossible to offend' side of the spectrum. Believe me, there are plenty of people who find mockery of suicide, marriage, disease, old age and other topics offensive. Some people think that when you publish a cartoon that actively makes a joke of date rape, women's rights, abortion, religious beliefs or other similarly charged topics that you are being offensive. You might not, which is fine, but you should recognize that much (most?) of the world does find at least some of these jokes offensive.

I recognize them as offensive in the academic sense. They don't bother me because the author so clearly mocks *everybody*. As to the finding them not funny... not much I can say. I like them a lot, but I don't expect everyone to. Some people like looking up 'cutest kitten video' on youtube all day long and that completely boggles my mind.

  3. Hey!

Thanks for the review! Not sure if you meant it to be a review, but I did enjoy reading it.

As for Ziggyny, I don't think most of what I do is funny nor offensive either. But hey, to each their own right?

Anyway, if you want to keep talking about it shoot me an email. The address is listed on my contact page:

I hope you continue to read and enjoy!

    Thanks again,

  4. Well, I found most of the comics funny, nearly all of them I found interesting and none offended me. That said, it was clear that many of the comics would offend a lot of people for one reason or another. There are some sources off 'I take offense' that I simply ignore but there are some that I try to respect - not being okay with jokes about rape or suicide, say, really touch a nerve with some people regardless of the intention of the writer. Not to say you shouldn't make those jokes but if I am directing people to them I feel like I should put up a little note that the subjects push boundaries.
